I am really enjoying painting in Sepia tones which I more classify this as a speed painting since it only took me roughly 3 hours.

I know I am uploading a lot of these but I need to get all the Act 1 characters designed so I can move onto environment and painting studies.
I paint them in their underwear only because it’s easier to figure out colourations/patterns/physical build with out cloths.
I decided to include his WWI portrait, even if I’m not sure about some details on it my knowledge of WWI uniforms is basic at best, He’s a Royal Canadian Engineer.
Roger is Lillian’s Father which I wanted him to reflect her colouration just more basic almost more common looking compared to hers.

I went through a few different designs but I think this covers what we want with the character.
I still in process of working on her elderly fathers design, right now all the act 1 of Forget Me Not characters are on priority to be finished.
Did this for the comic section on the website as well as testing out the new painting style for this comic, it’s faster style and has the effect I want with heavy line art compared to Loyalty & Liberty I try to go for a more ‘painted’ look.
Use textures in the backgrounds with a limited colour pallet and have lots of dramatic lighting to spoof black and white films & photography of the time.
I’ll be testing this on some demo pages in the next few months or so.
